Have you noticed that your newsfeed is now full of video?
Or have you been seeing more brands focus on their video marketing efforts?
This isn’t accidental. Video is the key to marketing businesses in 2020 and if you’re not making it a priority, I guarantee your competitors are.
Summary of the Five Ways to Use Video Marketing to Grow Your Business
Video marketing is the future of marketing.
And anyone who tells you differently is misinformed, or just hates being in front of a camera. I get it…I’ve been there.
According to a recent study that just came out 60% of viewers will engage in a video posted before they ever engage in any text post.
On top of that, the video is projected to claim more than 80% of all web traffic by 2019.
Here’s exactly how you can use the video marketing so you can stay way ahead of your competition.
#1: Tell your brand’s story
Believe it or not, video is not about selling your service; it’s about emotionally connecting with potential prospects.
As they say a picture’s worth a thousand words, so I’d say a video is worth a least a million words.
So that’s a great time to share a part of your story and who you are in a way that you could never share via text.
#2: Consistently engage with your viewership
Consistency is so key!
Yes, is it cool to create a video that you spent like six months putting together and it completely goes viral? Absolutely, but at the same time I’d rather have 50 of videos where my hardcore fans are enjoying the videos, and they are engaged with the brand rather than having one viral video.
Create a release schedule that will allow you to stay consistent with releasing the video, rather than releasing only one video per year.
#3: Create video sales letters
Now if you sell any product or service or anything on your website, you are so much better off creating a video explaining that product, demonstrating that product, than having just written text.
Believe it or not but consumers are 64% more likely to purchase a product after watching an online video. So either they’re watching your video, or they’re watching your competitor’s videos.
#4: Have fun with your videos
If I had a company where I had a ton of people working in the office, here’s what I would do to have a fantastic video marketing strategy.
I would have a room with a studio where I would invite all employees to come in at ANY time and create any video they ever want.
They could be teaching something about the product, or maybe they’re going to talk about something they’ve worked on with a client that solved his particular needs.
I would turn it into a “video creative room” where any employee can come in and create amazing videos: whatever it is they want, whenever they want.
Just go in, create the video and see what happens.
Now, of course, every video wouldn’t get released.
We’d look it over and see what’s the best and what’s most appropriate for the brand.
But that studio would be a creative haven for ideas.
You could go in there and create any video you want.
Can you imagine how much great video content would come out there?
